Knowing the Structure and Regulation of Accountancy Profession Worldwide
Dear Members,
The members at large in this era of globalization would be keen to make forays beyond the nation frontiers. Of particular importance is the fact that the accountancy profession in general is under a regulated domain in majority of the countries. It becomes of paramount importance to assess the domestic regulatory environment at the respective country level so as to understand the structure of accountancy profession in different countries as also the nitty gritties of the accounting environment as well as the financial markets. In order that such information should be assimilated at one place, the International Federation of Accountants, a global organization for the accounting profession comprising of 158 members and associates in 123 countries representing over 2.5 million accountants, and of which Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is a founder member had conducted a statement of such membership obligations and 150 responses to the questionnaire has been received by IFAC.
