Markets at day's high, Sensex is at 19,422 up 285

Market are trading at the day's high on the back of buying in Oil & Gas, IT and Banking stocks, the Sensex is at 19,422 up 285 points and Nifty is at 5832 up 80 points.

Market heavyweight Relaince Industries is the top gainer among the Sensex stocks, the stock is trading higher by more than 3.5% at Rs 997, BHEL, Wipro, TCS and ICICI Bank are also among the gainers on the Sensex. While Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Communication, ACC and Tata steel are significant losers on the BSE 30 share index.

All the sectoral indices are trading in the green with BSE oil & gas index leading the sectoral pack the index is up 259 points at 10,112 followed by Bankex and IT indices. The BSE Realty index has recovered and is higher by two points at 2745.

Cairn India is the top gainer among the Oil & Gas stocks trading at Rs 406 up moe than 4%, Reliance Industries, GAIL and BPCL are among the other gainers among Oil & Gas stocks.

Among the IT stocks TCS is the top gainer followed by Wipro and Mphasis.

Meanwhile, the broader markets have recovered marginally but continue in the red, the mid-cap index is at 7599 down 12 points and the small-cap index is at 9497 down 18 points.

Shree Ashtvinayak Cine Vision, Core projects, Money Matters Financial Services are the losers on the mid-cap index down more than 10% each. At the same time Koutons Retail is the top loser among the small-cap stocks down 10% at Rs 63, followed by Sujana Metals, Saraswati Industrial Syndicate and Jindal Worldwide down more than 8.5%.

Market breadth continues to remain negative as 1637 stocks are declining while 1226 stocks are advancing.
