As the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced results of the final Chartered Accountants (CA) on Monday, 10 students from Ahmedabad found themselves among the top 50 in the country. It means that 20% of the toppers in CA final exam belong to apnu Amdavad!

Swati Sadhwani, a city girl has secured the fourth position in the country.

As per details, there are seven students from city who have found place in national list of top 30. Out of the total 1,255 students who appeared in CA final exam held in November 2012, 172 students passed, taking the result of Ahmedabad centre to 13.71%, a notch higher than the all India result of 12.97%. A student from city, Jyoti Maheshwari is the only one to make it to top 50 list of students appeared for Common Proficiency Test (CPT), first exam for the CA. Maheshwari has secured 6th rank in India.

A total of 538 students appeared in group one exam in final CA, out of which only 146 students were successful. Out of 753 students who appeared in group B of CA final exam, only 218 students passed the exam.

Even as the result of Ahmedabad chapter is higher than the national result, overall result has gone down this year by around 2% when compared to last year.
