Global large home appliciances maker Whirlpool Corporation said India is one of its top two fastest growing markets. India and Brazil rank ahead of China and are positioned for strong growth because of the size of their middle class, Jeff Fettig , chairman and CEO of the $18.3-billion company, said.

The midwestern US company which makes refrigeration, cooking, dishwashing and fabric care products through global and regional brands drew $900 million in sales from Asia in 2010. Sales in the region grew 30.6% driven by its India listed subsidiary which posted $550 million in sales.
