The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's (ICAI) Nagpur branch organized a lecture on 'Role of finance professionals in driving business through business intelligence' recently.
Guest faculty and CEO of Cerebrate Incorporation at California Eshwar Iyer said, "Finance is a core function of business and as finance professionals, chartered accountants are expected to offer solutions to business entity to keep pace with dynamic global business environment. Business intelligence, therefore, has achieved great importance in recent times. Even smallest businesses are affected by global environment due to technological advancements."
He also explained various business functions like planning, budgeting, and reporting by means of a presentation. "Cloud computing can be the future of business and hence big info tech companies are investing huge funds on cloud competing," he added.
Immediate past president of ICAI Jaydeep Shah said, "Business intelligence model has gained lot of importance in recent business competitive world. CAs shall be ready with recent business updates to guide their clients in best professional manner."
Nagpur bench chairman Swapnil Agrawal said, "CAs are acting as complete solution provider to the financial need of every business house and so they should also update themselves with global developments taking place across the world."
