ICAI Doha Chapter chairman Girish Jain said, Internal control structure is a topical issue following global financial reporting and accounting scandals in both developed and developing countries..
A proactive preventive approach to the problem requires a critical evaluation of existing internal control structures in organisations to determine their capacity and ensure the activities are carried out in accordance with established goals, policies and procedures. The topic is specifically relevant to the current times when Qatar continues to pursue a high growth path while the developed world is struggling to return to positive growth trajectory, he added.
