Nod for tax treaty with Senegal |
|
December, 14th 2007 |
The Union Cabinet on Thursday gave its approval for the signing of a double taxation avoidance agreement (DTAA) with Senegal. This agreement, when it enters into force, would stimulate the flow of investment, technology and services from India to Senegal and vice-versa, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr Priyaranjan Dasmunshi, said after the Cabinet meeting. He said that the DTAA would provide tax stability to the residents of India and Senegal, and facilitate mutual economic cooperation. India has already entered into DTAAs with more than seventy countries of the world.
