Three new members for CBDT
January, 06th 2007

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) is now in full strength, with the Government appointing three members to the Board. The three new members are Mr R.N. Upadhyay, Mr A.J. Majumdar and Mr P.K. Misra. All the three Members are 1971 batch officers of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).

Official sources said that all the vacancies have been filled and the Board has now six members. The three new members had already taken charge, but their portfolios have not yet been decided as yet. Recently, Ms Indira Bhargava assumed charge as the Chairperson of the CBDT.
