KPMG has appointed a new partner to its 85-strong transfer pricing team
He is Steve Labrum, former global head of transfer pricing at Alvarez and Marsal, the global professional services firm.
He brings with him over 15 years’ of experience in transfer pricing, particularly in the financial services sector, gained not only at Alvarez but also at the other three Big Four firms. At EY he was one of four founding members of the transfer pricing practice and later was appointed UK, EMEIA and global head of transfer pricing.
“Steve’s extensive experience and very strong industry knowledge adds further to the depth and breadth of the technical advice we are able to offer to our client in transfer pricing, and in particular, in the financial services sector,” said KPMG UK head of tax and pensions Jane McCormick.
“Transfer pricing is notoriously complex, an area under increasing scrutiny and also one which is experiencing rapid change. All of these factors mean that it is an area where our clients are increasingly seeking advice.”
Labrum added that transfer pricing was going through a rapid period of change, not least because of the impact of initiatives like the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Sharing campaign, and he was delighted to be helping “clients address these challenging tasks”.
